Bandaids

Why do the bandaids always come off after an hour or two. They should make the bandaid glue a little stickier. I am trying to type after having butchered my finger tips thru cooking dinner nightly. I bought these extra sharp victorinox knives. This is what I get for cooking dinner. Gordon Ramsey I am not. But I still made a mean steak sandwich last nite. Even M's son who is exceptionally fussy ate it all.

Love a good steak sanger! Sharp knives are usually safer than blunt ones - perhaps it will take a few goes to get used to them. good luck!

yum:)

There is this bandaid paste we use here it is a liquid you put on like nail polish or something it is wonderful and stays on really well

i know what you mean about the bandaid glue.

i've found the material bandaids are stickier than the plastic-feeling ones...

ouch!
the key is using fabric band-aids! They don't come in cute Hello Kitty designs but those suckers stay on!

The other side of the band aid spectrum is the ones that stay on so effectively that after you take them off, there's still a band-aid-shaped sticky spot and it gets dirty and gross. There is no happy medium with band aids.

Depends on where the bandaids are stuck. My problem is I cant get them off, and then I have to pull and it hurts and rips hair out and stuff.

i love a good steak sanga. Come cook for me!!

alleycat - i have had more trouble with these sharp knives than with any knife before, sliced thru my finger again 2day. Ouch.

brian - yeah we have spray on bandaids here 2, is that what u mean, but i have tried it and doesn't seem to work for me, or maybe im doing it wrong, or maybe its the placebo effect of needing to have something solid on my cut to feel like its working.

expensive and weighting game - yeah i like the material ones better 2!

sequined - i agree, i always get those sticky spots leftover from bandaids on my knees and ankles. but they never stay on my fingers.

(.)(.) - yeah the ones on my fingers never stay that long, esp the plastic ones, he he and i can cook lots of stuff except really fancy desserts, i cant really cook those fancy cakes with layers of cream.

raych - i know! why is it the only time the glue decides to dig its heels in and stick to the skin is when ur ripping it off!

SZJ - funny u should say that, i have been experimenting with various bandaids this week, and have tried spray on - from my experiments so far it tends to come off in water. and when i cut my fingers it leaves big ragged skin edges which if they r not stuck down by a bandaid tend to get caught on stuff and cause further pain. and the spray on doesnt seem to make them tick down too well. Hmmm.
And yeah, i reckon gardening gloves should do the trick or at least oven mittens he he
